Adora Nwodo is an award-winning engineering leader, former VP of Engineering, and author working at the intersection of applied AI, cloud, and platform engineering. Over more than 15 years, she has built and scaled engineering organizations of 80+ people, led platform and infrastructure teams through hypergrowth and reorganization, and shipped the developer tooling, identity systems, and governance practices that large distributed systems depend on.
She has written seven books on software engineering, cloud, and AI, teaches through video courses and technical writing, and has delivered more than 200 talks at conferences around the world. Her work has centered for years on the reliability of cloud, platform, and distributed systems at scale, spanning multi-region infrastructure, developer platforms, and the operational practices that keep complex systems dependable under load. That foundation now shapes her focus on what changes when AI becomes infrastructure, and how teams can operate probabilistic systems with the same discipline they bring to deterministic ones.
Adora is the founder and president of NexaScale, a global nonprofit tech education community with over 11,000 members across six continents, and leads Future STEM Stars, a program bringing STEM education to secondary school girls in Nigeria.
She holds a First Class BSc in Computer Science from the University of Lagos, an MS in Computer Science with an Artificial Intelligence specialization from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and a certificate from Stanford Graduate School of Business (LEAD). She is currently completing an MBA at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business.
