Orlando Valdez

Orlando has spent 20+ years solving (and creating) problems with technology. Today he’s a Senior Staff Software Engineer on Intuit’s Developer Efficiency team, where the tooling he builds shapes how Credit Karma’s engineers ship software. His work lives in the cross-team, ambiguous space that defines Staff-level engineering: navigating an acquisition, driving technical direction through influence rather than authority, and helping senior engineers find their footing at the next level. He also leads the Charlotte Java User Group and shares what he learns through talks internally and at the occasional public conference or meetup.
