When I started out as a web developer teaching myself HTML and CSS, when I got stuck, I stayed stuck. When my layout wasn’t coming together, or a piece of functionality wasn’t working as expected, I had no idea where to look for help and nobody to ask. I needed a mentor, someone who wouldn’t judge me, or talk down to me when I asked ‘stupid questions’.
