As an engineering leader, the most common question I hear from the exec team is, ‘when is feature X going to be ready and what can we do to deliver it faster?’
I get it. Our mission is to deliver value to customers (and the business) as fast as possible, especially at my current company, LinearB, which is a fast-growing start-up. We care about quality and cost, but the number one thing the CEO wants from my team right now is customer-facing innovation. Every conversation I have with the executive team revolves around when new features are coming and how we can deliver them faster.
