Amidst this evolving landscape, it is more important than ever to understand the nuances of equity compensation, especially when a compensation package includes stock options and restricted stock units (RSUs).

Equity compensation, sometimes called stock compensation, offers employees an opportunity to own a part of their company through non-cash benefits like stock options and RSUs.
